India Panna reserve ... The beauty of otters;)

2021-08-30

The Panna Tiger Reserve (Madhya Pradesh) is home to raccoon cats, aquatic felines not listed in central India until then and whose presence was highlighted by a trap camera.

This animal twice the size of a domestic cat can dive underwater to capture fish. In India, it was known, until now, from the mangroves of the Sundarbans, the deltas of the Ganges and the Bramapoutre to the east, the Himalayan foothills to the north, and the western ghats to the southwest.
